Why We Do What We Do

Why does BethanyKids do what we do? A recent report from The Lancet describes the critical need – the crisis actually – of surgical care in low income nations. The hardest hit nations in Africa are exactly where BethanyKids is working.

This report shows how desperate the need is – but also has determined that investing in surgical services in low-middle income countries is “affordable, saves lives, and promotes economic growth.”

What does this mean for BethanyKids? It means our mission to provide surgical care for Africa’s children is vital. And even more vital is our work of training local African surgeons from across the continent so that we can provide access to surgical care for even more children.

Please pray for our work in Africa. We may be small but what we do is absolutely essential.
